We're adopting!

We have our first home study visit scheduled for the 18th. We are currently in the process of making our home look as spotless as possible with 2 people & one hairy dog living within. We've sent our initial paperwork off, and are currently having background checks run and references tell all about us. This is just the peak of the beginning, but we wanted to share our letter to friends & family with you. We are excited about this opportunity, and we want everyone we care about and who cares about us to know what's going on in our lives!


Dear Friends,
Jake & I hope everything is well with you & your families. We would like to share some exciting news with you, and ask for your help.

Jake & I have now been married for about 3 and a half years. Throughout 10 years of dating, engagement, and marriage, we have always talked about wanting to have a family of our own. Once Jake returned from the war in Afghanistan, we tried for some time to conceive a child. After visiting several doctors, we've been told our chances of natural conception are highly unlikely.

We have prayed a lot about God's will for our lives. We know that we were meant to be parents. Through people we have met and the stories that they have shared with us, we believe that God has led us to the decision of adoption, and we are so excited to be pursuing this option as the way to grow our family!

This is where you come in. We would like you to consider sharing our names and our story with those around you who may be in a situation where they would like to place a child for adoption with a loving and stable family. We want to open our arms and our home to an infant, and we are beginning the adoption paperwork process now. With your help, it may be possible to find the right child to make our family complete.
